Flowering trees and shrubs.

Who can forget seeing a magnificent specimen tree in full flower or autumn glory, inevitably taking centre stage in whichever setting or garden? Over the years we have collected what we believe are the best for our environment.

 Azalea Mollis

'The flowers are typically funnel shaped, and long lasting. The lighter coloured flowers seem to generally have the best scent - especially the yellows.

As well as having a huge range of flower colours, Azalea mollis hybrids have a fantastic range of autumn colours as the leaves prepare for winter.

Plant in a protected area but with access to good light and sunshine.

Rhododendron Vireya

"Given their basic requirements of a frost-free growing environment and a sharply draining compost, vireyas will reward the grower with regular displays of exotic, often scented, blooms in a range of vibrant colours, many backed by distinctive foliage with an attractive scaly covering."

 Camelia

Camellias were cultivated in the gardens of China and Japan for centuries before they were seen in Europe. The German botanist Engelbert Kaempfer reported that the "Japan Rose", as he called it grew wild in woodland and hedgerow, but that many superior varieties had been selected for gardens.

Today camellias are grown as ornamental plants for their flowers; about 3,000 cultivars and hybrids have been selected, many with double or semi-double flowers

Tibouchina

Tibouchina /ˌtɪbuːˈkaɪnə/[1][2] is a genus of about 350 species of neotropical plants in the family Melastomataceae. They are trees, shrubs or subshrubs growing 0.5–25 m tall, and are known as glory bushes or glory trees. They are native to rainforests of Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America, especially Brazil. The name comes from an adaptation of a term for a member of this genus in an indigenous language of the Guianas
